I've been wanting to learn more about French cheese. Any recommendations for a book? Amazon.com has the paperwork version of the Eyewitness book for $3.04. Could be good beach reading.

That's the one that David Liebovitz recommends.
I fondled a copy last week at the airport, but 25 euros buys a LOT of cheese. I'm keeping my eye out for a used/cheap copy.

I know...it's just been such a bizarre summer, I just haven't had the time!
(I buy from Book Depository a *lot*)

Sunshine, I just bought a used copy on Amazon for a grand total of $4.15 . I'll bring it to Paris in Nov. and get it to you if you can't find a reasonable copy there

I ordered a used copy from Amazon for $7.03 including shipping. Sounds like Jody will be in there before me, but if I end up in Paris before November I'll bring it with me. It looks like it's readily available on the US website at this price.
I'm excited to learn more - and then put the knowledge to good use on my next trip.

Thanks, ladies -- I genuinely appreciate the offer, even if it doesn't work out!
