As usual, I've been making an effort to boost the U.S. economy by visiting as many stores as I can. Naturally, I've been concentrating on sale items, but on occasion, I've paid full price for certain articles of clothing. For those of you ladies who are not familiar with NYDJ (Not Your Daughter's Jeans), I highly recommend them. They come in a variety of styles and colors, and I've bought a number of pairs, some of them on sale, but others at full price.......over $100 . However, since they are very complimentary to my aging figure, plus the fact that jeans can be worn a zillion times, I have no objections to splurging on such items. Incidentally, I've seen NYDJ in Israel for over $250 , so paying less than half of that is a bargain to me. Needless to say, I've been stocking up on baby clothes......only sale items for now. As soon as the rest of my family arrives (including the twinnies ), I'll let them decide which outfits they want to keep and then I'll return the others. I love the fact that you can return things in the U.S. In Israel, they only give you store credit. As for shoes, so far I've purchased "only" 2 pairs of dressyish sandals. No complaints, though, since I have so many pairs that I still like and wear.

You are singing my song, Shoesy. ;D Shopping is always a MAJOR part of my itinerary when in NYC. I totally overdosed in June that I ended up buying another suitcase ... which I got on sale of course. I am definitely no skinny-minny like you, but I also wear NYD jeans. They are the most comfy jeans I have ever put on. And yes, even at full price they are still some much cheaper than here. Enjoy!
