I would like to find an authentic and "nice" (as in clean with good service) Morroccan restaurant in Paris. I am considering Le 404 or Chez Omar. Has anyone eaten at either of these places? Am I overlooking another possibility? Do I need reservations? Any advice?
Thanks in advance for your help! I am having so much fun planning our first trip - 44 days and counting!!

I'm a big fan of Chez Omar, and we eat there nearly every trip. It's a superb value. The decor is authentically ancient, and it appears that nothing has been painted since the liberation of Paris. A word of warning--they don't take credit cards! I don't believe they take reservations. It's a big restaurant, but you should still count on a short wait if you go at a busy time.

My absolute favorite is Le Timgad which is on the Rue Brunel in the 17th. It was introduced to me many years ago by some Parisian friends who go there often. It's considered a "nice" place, so the bill will come to about 50 euros per person including all drinks and dessert. But man, it's fabulous, and the people are so nice.
