Hmmm. Well, the first problem I see is that fluency in reading and writing French is a must. Might keep me out of the running. I can read fairly well, but my spoken French doesn't rise much above the tourist type. Not to mention that I can't write. I mean write write...not that I'm unable to form words. But a girl can dream...

Ha! Picture it, Jody...I stubbornly refuse to answer anyone who speaks to me en Englais... that would win me friends!

A 4 year old was speaking to me in French at our picnic last week and I had great trouble keeping up with him. I finally had to ask that he speak English. HIs mother told me he has trouble with English but no problems in French! He spoke quickly and in a baby voice so it was really hard!
I take my native French hairdresser to the picnics. She has trouble when she goes back to visit her brother. She says it takes her about a week before she gets everything said to her translated!

sistereurope is right, Happy!
Since this is an online position, it sounds like you won't be having actual conversations with French speaking people. Hey, you can use translation sites as well as the rest of us!! ;D
Send that resume!!!

You guys are too funny. I have to tell you all that, if I was 20 years younger, and wasn't so happy with my current job, I'd give it serious consideration. Hell, I'd have sent my resumé in the day I saw the ad.
Because I love my boss, and because he's VERY good to me, I am emotionally attached to this place...for better or worse. In fact, because he and I are good enough friends to do it, I told him about the job.
Oh, and one other thing. Not to be immodest, but I'd be VERY good at that job...having been on the other end of the rental experience so many times, I think it would give me a leg up on someone who did not have the same experience staying at vacation rentals in Paris.

Oh Darcy! I'm afraid so...but cheer up...that lovely pied-a-terre probably would have ended up being a garret in some dump in the 19th...

Now! now! Happy. I was going to give you the job and then you go and slander the 19th ' There are some excellent little apartments there, these people also did one with a super view across to Sacre Coeur www.abritel.fr/location-vacances/p615220But I would agree with you about staying put, as the old saying goes "Better the devil you know" ;D ;D
