How did I miss this? I really enjoyed it, thanks! One thing I noticed in particular, the renovations took only two or three weeks! Really??

Darcy, I think that only happens on SOS Maison! We started remodeling one of our bathrooms in April. The floor tiles that we wanted had to be ordered from BHV. They told us it would be 2-3 weeks, so we went ahead with the work that could be done in advance. Well, when 3 weeks were up, we called and were told that it would be another 2 weeks before the tiles come in. Where in the world are they coming from? Now we are into the month of May, and that doesn't bode well for our project. Everyone knows that you never start a project in May in France because there are so many holidays that just beg to be bridged into really long weekends. We are leaving port in June, so hopefully the tiles will be in by then or else Valerio, our tile guy, will have to come to find us along the Marne to finish the job.
