I have a brand new copy of I Know How To Cook, by Ginette Mathiot. I've never made anything from it, so no food stains. It's pristine If you would like it, PM me so we can make arrangements to get it to you.

I sent that book to my mother who is a great cook and she's never said a word about it. Hmmm........ wonder if she received it, wonder if she liked it. Actually, I was thinking recently about getting one for myself.

It's not my kind of cookbook at all. There are some good dessert recipes, but that's about all I would ever use it for. And I have lots of other cookbooks for desserts.
And if someone was a fledgling cook, they'd be out in left field trying to cook from it. For example, in a recipe for a cake, it will say..."put batter in a pan..". Well, if you don't know what size pan, or that you might need to prep the pan, you're going to have a flop on your hands, and not even know why.
I think it tries to do too much. Anyway, just my two cents.
Oh, and btw, the book is going to Annette.

Use those books for reference..I'm not a good cook but when I cook I cook it good. I never read any books or follow internet..just got some details from my Granny and getting used to it.
