Happy or Geordy suggested we should post about apartments we've actually stayed in, starting with ONE BEDOOM< STUDIO< ETC so tey can be easily located
So here are my 2
ONE BEDROOM
It took a ;long time for me to finally break away from hotels but the last 2 trips we made the change and for trips more than a week I doubt if we’ll go back to hotels
The only agency I’ve dealt with is Vacation in Paris. I like that you can pay in US dollars by credit card, thereby getting FF miles ! Also there is no security deposit, you get an insurance policy against damages for around $25.00. There is a $150.00 key deposit that is included in the base price and which is promptly returned when they get the keys back when you arrive home. The keys are sent to your home before your departure date so no waiting around for someone to let you in. The bottle of wine waiting for you is a nice touch too

!st apt was on Rue St Andre des Arts, a few steps from Place St Michel, so the transportation options were great. There is a bank , Boulangier, and many cafes and shops nearby. I can’t recall if there was a washer since I never use those in apts. They take way too long. There is a Laundromat around the corner but I prefer the one on Rue de Seine, a short walk from the apt.. I can have breakfast at Paul while the clothes are washing and drying.
There is an elevator in the building. The apt is listed as a loft bedroom, but I always think of a loft as an open space overlooking the living areas. This apt it is an enclosed bedroom. Queen size very comfortable bed, full bath with shower , desk with free internet, TV and phone upstairs. The only problem that can come about is if you are very tall. David is 6’5” and he did bump his head a few times on the sloping ceilings.
Down stairs there is another phone and TV and internet connection, a sleeper sofa, table and chairs for dining. The kitchen was well equipped. The best part was the half bath . An early riser can get ready without disturbing the one who sleeps in. Can’t recall if there was a washer.

This one converted me to a right banker!
A ground floor apartment with a lovely courtyard. The living area is smallish but has a very comfortable sleeper sofa , table and chairs . Lots of closet space along the entry hallway. The courtyard makes the area light and cheerful. The kitchen was well equipped and did have a washer , which I didn’t use as there was a Laundromat right next door. The toilet is in a separate room off the living area. The bedroom had a large closet, queen size comfortable bed, and drawer space. The glass enclosed shower and vanity are in the bedroom area. Did not notice any noise and there was lots of light
Probably the very best feature is the location. Right across from St Paul -St Louis church. % or 6 bus lines right outside the front door, a metro stop a few yards up the street, and a taxi stand that always had taxis standing by. There is a grocery store, a cheese shop, 2 bakers an verger and a wine shop just across the street. Several wine bars and cafes on each corner. We were most pleased with the 2 meals we had at the café on the corner of St Antoine and St Paul, Le Bouquet St Paul. Place St Catherine is right around the corner and Place des Vosges a very short walk away. You can walk to Bastille in 5 minutes though we usually hopped on the bus. TV phone and internet connection in the living area. Also lots of books , guide and otherwise. On the wall unit.
We will be renting this again in November
