Here are links to two podcasts that I listen to on the train on my way to work. One is Radio francais facile, which is 9-10 minute long news casts. The announcers speak clearly so you can at least make out the words... www.rfi.fr/lfen/statiques/accueil.aspother is called one thing in a French day: onethinginafrenchday.podbean.com/And it's a short, 3-4 minute daily broadcast in French by Letitia, a mom of 3 young girls who lives outside of Paris. In the fall I'm taking a comprehension class at the Alliance Francaise in DC. We'll watch TV 5 and have a discussion. I figured I needed a break from the grammar! Next semester it's back to the 2 classes per week grind...

Thanks so much! I will definitely check out the podcasts :-) I wish we had an Alliance Francaise nearby. We live near a fairly large city, but the closest Alliance Francaise is in Chicago, 3 hours away. Recently, they had a French total immersion day, and I had talked my husband into going with me until I saw the date. We weren't able to attend, but I'm keeping an eye out for another one. I also like to watch French movies that I rent from Netflix, but even more fun, is to go to the local junior college when they have a foreign film festival. All the French people in the area will come out to see the movies.
