You know, if we pooled our resources and recipes, we might be able to open a little bistro of our own in Paris....

If we hurry, everyone will be sitting at our sidewalk tables in the warm Paris sun, smoking Gitanes, drinking wine and clamoring for more tomato farcies, or tart, or mousse or.........

We sure do have a lot of cooks in our ever-growing group, so it really isn't all that far-fetched an idea, hg...
at least it has a shred of possible reality, unlike my usual move to Paris daydream where I win the lottery and/or discover that an unknown wealthy relative has kicked the bucket and named me sole heir ;D

Confession time. I'm really not into cooking. May I be the hostess at this cute little bistro of ours?

Yes Shoesy...I can't imagine anyone being more welcoming than you!! Of course if we decide to write a book, Shoesy can write comments at the end of each recipe - little comments like her usual "that sounds really delicious" and the other nice things that she writes about, well, usually everything!!

This sounds like the start of a "dot.com business plan" but with a basis in reality!

I may not be into cooking, but I love eating..........as long as the recipe doesn't consist of cute little Disney characters.

Le Bistro Notre Paris!!
However, and this might need a new thread, but, how about a calandar for friends and family with 12 photographs submitted by and chosen by forum members, with any proceeds towards say a UN charity, or a small recipe booklet with forum contributions. Just a bit of fun
Just a thought
Best wishes

Ian, that's a great idea -- we would just have to be sure to somewhat modify all recipes that originated elsewhere (other than those that are traditional and "originate" 200 or so years ago on a farm in rural France!), so we didn't get into trouble!

Love this idea, although I rarely cook anymore either! However, I do have a passion for recipes and cookbooks. I love to decorate. . . could be the wine taster and the food taster. I love to shop the markets ............
Our Paris Blogspot Cafe & Vin Bar would be a great hit, I'm sure!!! We could have live streaming from all the laptops that we would furnish..............
What a fantasy!

How about "& Bar Vin" (like the "bar snack" signs, which always crack me up!)?
