Next year ! 2011!
Has anyone ever heard of the above company? I found them by surfing but cannot find any mention of them in any list of agencies. They have a Facebook page and that is all.
Their apartments look very good and very reasonable which always stirs a wee bit of uncertainty in my old Scottish Banker's mind.

I think you are being wise to be wary. You may want to check our LuckyLuc's apt on VRBO. the link is with his name on the members' list. Also we have used perfectlyparis.com Gail is wonderful and some of her apartments are reasonable.
Happy hunting!

Let me chime in about PerfectlyParis. Gail is a star ! Here's a list of reliable, well-reputed agencies: Recommended and tested by many-multi-times traveller Laidback & Mrs L. www.feelslikehomeinparis.com/www.perfectlyparis.com/www.frenchyrentals.com/www.letsparis.com/All agencies run by Montmartre girls who are friends and work together. They focus mostly on the 9th, 17th and 18th arrondissements. Recommended and tested by equally multi-many-times traveller Denise from Bolton www.centreparis.com/Super reasonable prices - and according to Denise, outstanding service. I wrote to them once and they reply back very fast and very kindly. Recommended and tested by our Boston member Happygoin - also a many-times Paris regular www.vacationinparis.com/Big and well-known agency in the anglophone Paris travelling community. Recommended and tested by former member Gracejoan - a very seasoned Paris traveller with a penchant for luxurious lodgings ! www.parisperfect.com/www.parisvacationapartments.com/Hair-raising prices........

I can also add www.parisbestlodge.comWe have used Thierry's apartments twice. They are located mostly in the Marais and St Germain, are well equipped and very clean. He has very easy booking terms, is very fast on e-mail responses and only takes a cheque in your local currency (which he does not cash) as a security deposit. Happy hunting..........

Hello georgeleitch, and others, I'm Rudy, the person who set up the Paris Room Rental website. I can understand the concerns you have, especially towards apartment rentals as there are a lot scams. I can assure you though, that we are trustworthy. One of the points you mentioned was that we are not in the list of agencies. That's right, because basically we are not a rental agency, but rather a community of independent apartment owners who rent out their unique Paris properties for tourists. Our website has been set up to rent out our apartments without charging the substantial booking fees, charged by online agencies. Like this we can propose our accommodation for a much better and cheaper rate! After we started off, we were soon joined by other interesting apartment owners. This creates more options regarding accommodation, prices, location and availability dates. So far we have a bit more than 20 apartments available. We have 4 categories: - Daily apartments [ www.paris-room-rental.com/daily-holiday-apartments.php ] - Weekly apartments [ www.paris-room-rental.com/weekly-holiday-apartments.php ] - Short term apartments [ www.paris-room-rental.com/short-term-apartments.php ] - Summer holiday apartments [ www.paris-room-rental.com/summer-holiday-apartments.php ] I also like to invite you to check out our client testimonials: www.paris-room-rental.com/clients-testimonials.phpI hope this explains Paris Room Rental. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to contact us. Happy stays in Paris! Rudy Paris Room Rental
