While shopping at Fauchon and around Place de la Madeleine, we find that a nice place to rest and have a bite is the restaurant on top of Hédiard. The view of La Madeleine from the restaurant is very different. So for tea and macarons or a salad, keep it in mind.
Also nearby on the first floor (2nd American) of Nicolas you can taste a variety of their wine while eating. Their salad with charcuterie is very filling.

Our apartment last month was just off the Madeleine. I went in Fauchon twice to buy cakes, but I did not get any, as they looked too much like fine art work to just eat them.
