Whew...I haven't arrived in Paris yet, so can't be considered a suspect! If I remember correctly, there was another art heist while we were there last May/June tho, because someone here was giving me a hard time about it***. Anyway, this is crazy! Don't they have alarms on these paintings? It must be driven by private collectors as they said, because how could they be sold otherwise?
*** I remember now, it was a jewelry heist and Shoesy thought for sure I would be wearing the jewels at the forum GTG! LOL

That was my question, too Annette. I mean I have a security system in my house, don't they have them in museums?
I think sometimes they hold the paintings for ransom money

Yes, an alarm in the building, but I've been in museums here where each painting is individually wired also.

Such disappointing news! I hate it when artwork is hidden away from the public. An unsolved theft almost guarantees these works will never be seen again.
