I'm not tired of Provence and lavender but I'm been many places North ,though not there.

Spent a delightful day there a few years back. I do love Cathedral towns! Prefer to arrive mid morning or at least before noon....hit the Tourist Centre. perhaps have a cafe, tour the Cathedral and grounds. Find a nice spot for a leisurely lunch. Then tour town, visit museum or whatever else the City has to offer, shop for local specialties ( got famous Angel of Amiens magnets...I call her the Angel with a headache! or special sweets, other foods, crafts, liquors, etc.) , have a drink if there is time and head back to Paris....with enough time to change and have a latish dinner!
