They've been showing up at many fancy NYC events for years and are available at french bakeries...a place called Macaron even opened a couple of years ago..but now I guess the general populace will catch on to what we know!

Some of us are SUCH lucky people! My dear, dear friend (and slightly older twin brother) Luc sent me a box of macarons made by a pastry chef/friend/neighbor in Ottawa. They're magnificent, especially the orange ones! And they were so beautifully packaged. I can't begin to say how much I appreciate these little moments of beauty in the midst of the crap of daily life! Thank you, mon cher frerot!

Wow! That Luc is such a splendid fellow! (but of course, we knew that)....but how lovely to find a bit of sunshine in a box....just what the doctor ordered.
