1000 museums in France and Europe open from 7 PM to 1 AM See your favorite in the dark. The article in France mag particularly mentions the Rodin and the gardins. I wish I was going to be there! www.nuitdesmusees.culture.fr

We've actually been in Paris for 3 Nuit des Musees, this is the first time we will miss it. We went to the Rodin Gardens at night last year as well, they gave everyone headbands with flashlights attached to them, it was very cool to see the beams of light bouncing everywhere in the gardens. The kids especially liked this!
I think a lot of the museums have special events planned for that night. L'Orangerie had a concert scheduled last year but we didn't make it. We also tried to get in for the Warhol exhibit at the Grand Palais but the line was too long. Lots of stuff to choose from, and it's FREE! ;D

Two years ago we went to La Grande Galerie de l'Evolution in Jardin des Plantes that night. We got there soon after 7:00 and walked right in. By the time we left, the line was outside the gate, around the corner, and down the block.
We will be in Paris for four weeks in May this year and will choose another of the musees. We have been to many just during normal visiting days--does anyone have a suggestion for one we might enjoy?
