I have rented Malesherbes this Spring and also rented the St. Dominique in the past for my grand daughter. One company is based in Paris with super service, the other in London with, in our case, rather dodgy service. If you get to the point that you would like the nitty-gritty pro's and con's, send me a PM.

Hi Mez. A month in Paris - how wonderful.
I stayed for a month last year on rue de Saussure, which is located between these 2 apartments. I really like the area. Rue de Levis is a great market street and there are plenty of restaurants. I rented with Perfectly Paris and would recommend them. They provide great service and both apartments I've rented with them have been exactly as described.
The apartment on rue Mariotte is near rue des Dames, which had plenty of restaurants, boulangeries, etc. The lights are on in most of the pictures and it's on the ground floor. I wonder if it might be dark inside.
Blvd. Malesherbes is a busy street, but the windows are double paned and the bedroom is in the rear, so it should be quiet when you want to sleep.
Hope this helps. Have fun planning.
Janet
P.S. "I went for long walks in Paris and met myself in Paris". How true!

Mez -
Having previously enjoyed a 3-week stay in the 17th in an apartment on the rue de LĂ©vis, my husband and I made an appointment to see the Garden Mariotte apartment about 18 months ago. I have to say that at the time we saw it, it didn't look as fresh as its photos suggest. That said, the ground floor apartment is brighter than many ground floor spaces I've seen. Its windows looks directly out onto the open space with its attractive greenery and open-grilled fence facing onto the rue Mariotte.

Don't worry, Truffaut...you are at the top of the list. Knowing my luck, you will want to use the apartment yourself when I am there. When I get my dates sorted out, I will be in touch.
