Hi all. I was browsing some apartment websites and came across one that had a nice photo of this street. Google street view does not show it in as flattering a light, however it still looks attractive and from what I can glean it has a few restaurants and perhaps some shops? Has anyone wandered down here? Are any of the cafes/restaurants worthy of a visit? I like the fact it appears to be for the primary use of pedestrians. Thanks in advance, Mez.

Yes I have wandered down rue Tresor several times in the evening. The cafes and bars are usually full and people sit on the street, so it is very busy.
I have always thought it is a pleasant street with a happy atmosphere. I have eaten there but I can't remember which cafe/restaurant.The meal does not stick out as being very good or particularly bad and it was average price 12-15 Euro for a main course. But there again most food I have had in Paris is good.LOL!
Oh and there is an Amarino nearbye on rue Vielle du Temple for " dessert". ;D ;D

I dined at the Tresor on the Rue du Tresor. I loved the nighborhood and was staying around the corner on the rue de veille Temple. There's a computer cafe nearby.

Vacation In Paris has an apartment on r. Tresor. I've considered the apt several times, but never rented it for one reason or another. Now I sorta wish I had. The street looks lovely!

Do you remember which VIP apartment it was? I might take a look for the next trip. Next trip...aah, I love those words.

I think it's a dentist chair, in one of the bedrooms, there's a sign that says E F Hall, Dentist

Yes, I think it's a dentist's chair. Geez, I hate to think someone who maybe had too much wine decides they can perform some drillin' and pullin'

Aw, c'mon, Happy -- let's keep it fun and say it's a Margarita chair!

While the view from the apartment provides a wonderful view of the street, it's beyond my budget so I don't have to worry about the dentist/margarita chair. If they were trying to decorate in an eclectic fashion I think they missed the mark.

I was more thinking perhaps that is the name of the owner or maybe the owner's grandfather and those are his old sign and chair, so it is more of a family memories sort of thing. At least that seems a nicer thought to me.
