Thought I'd also post a review of this 25 sq metre studio, where I stayed in January 2010'
www.centreparis.com/short-term-rental/studio-temple-3/paris-10/studio_37.html
Cost was 55 euros per night for under 7 nights. 50 euros more than 7 nights. Winter rates....cheaper than advertised.
No security deposit
optional 25 euro cleaning fee.

SITUATION.....really convenient
Rue du Faubourg du Temple,in the 10th arrondissement, bordering the 4th and 3rd. Just off Place de Republique. literally 2 minutes from the Republique metro which is a major hub and so gives access to all of Paris.
For someone like me who knows Paris it was great. Perhaps not the most touristy quaint part of Paris so maybe not the best for a first visit to Paris..
Surrounded by shops cafes bars, even a Haman. there were clubs and cinema up the street and the canal St Martin starts at the end of the street... there is a particularly good artisan boulangerie on the corner just a few yards away
It is on the border of the 10th, 4th arrondissement and the 12th. I had a pleasant and interesting walk walked down through the Marias and up from the Bastille in about 15 minutes each way. AND it is about 3-4 minutes from the Chocolate shop/tea room of Jaques Genin!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D
COMFORT....
The bed was comfortable. Hotel quality linen on bed and blanket. Spare pillows in wardrobe. One large towel and one hand towel per person is provided.
Enough wardrobe hanging space and drawers for stuff. Ten hangars.
Hair-dryer, iron and board. Plenty of power outlets.
No provisions in the cupboard except salt, a few dishwasher tablets and cleaning things.
Toilet paper provided plus extra rolls.
The place was very clean on arrival.....slight mould in the shower
Everything worked except. broken shower bracket which was repaired with 4 hours when I emailed centreparis.
The centreparis office is within 5 minutes walking distance on rue Rene Bolanger if there are any problems.
Very good pressure on water and plenty of hot water.
Small elevator to 4th floor worked. There is a keycode system through at least two doors so it is very secure.
Just a word about keys, once you unlock the door you have to turn the key back 90 degrees so it is horizontal to remove.
TV has only French speaking channels. Radio cassette.
Wi-Fi worked fast.
Very quiet, overlooks rooftops at the back, except for Saturday night when neighbours above woke me a t 3 am!
No full length mirror.
THE KEY PICK UP.....Centreparis have a system where you do not meet a person but pick up the key from a safe and leave the balance. In this instance the key pick up is in the same building so it is very easy.
TO SUM UP...I will stay in this studio again. It was ideal for a single person or a couple who want a budget, functional place to stay and are not bothered about the frills. The situation was fantastic!
