I just finished Ms. Caron's autobiography; what a life! If you're interested in the show biz bio you'll like it .. especially her childhood and youth (same thing?) in Paris just before-during-and after the Occupation. One of her colleagues in the Ballet des Champs-Elysees was lovely but lazy .. Brigitte Bardot! " A Little Night Music " is super cool and it's killing us to miss it with this cast .. and in Paris! Argh.

Funny, I just got done watching An American In Paris which is the first film I ever saw with Leslie Caron.

I went to see the show and was very disappointed. Lambert Wilson and Greta Scacchi can bearly sing and their acting is not stellar. I saw him at Chatelet in Bernstien's Candide a few year's back and it was fabulous. In hindsight I realize that there was a much larger cast and he had a much smaller role. Caron, on the other hand, she was fantastic. So much stage presence and quite elegant.

Thanks Phread...now I don't feel so bad!
The show is on B'way with Catherine Zeta-Jones and Angela Landsbury...don't recall the male lead....
It would be lovely to see Ms. Caron in something in Paris though...

I will be seeing "A Little Night Music" in...about two weeks in NYC. Looking forward to it...but of course...would love to see Leslie Caron at the Chatelet Theatre as well (but perhaps in another play per Phread's review! . ! I walked past the Chatelet theater a lot last June (as a bit en route to our apartment) and at times I would note the "theater crowd" buzzing about there.....next time I will have to pay attention to what is playing there!

If he can't sing, maybe they could just sit Lambert Wilson on the corner of the stage for us all to watch during the performance. LOL
