I just got back from a great 5 night stay.
The apartments is at 89 rue des Martyrs. It's on the 6th (top) floor and there's an elevator. It's about 34 sq. meters, so a good size for 2 people but would be a bit cramped for 4.
The door opens into the living which has a sofa, chair, table and stand with TV, phone & CD player. At the other end of the living room is a dining table with 4 chairs. There are 2 windows, one with a view of Sacre Coeur.
The kitchen is off the end of the room near the dining table. It looks new and is well equipped with fridge, stove top, microwave/oven combo, dishwasher & washing machine. I did limited cooking, but everything seemed to be in good working order and it appeared to e well-equipped to prepare a meal. There's a window with a view to the south.
The bedroom is off the other end of the living room with a good size double bed that's very comfortable. There's a large closet with room to store 1 large suitcase. There are no drawers, but there are shelves in the closet. The window has a view of Sacre Coeur.
The bathroom is off the bedroom and looks relatively new. The shower had good pressure and lots of hot water. The vanity was fairly small. Even with just 1 person, I had to carefully organize my toiletries.
Things I especially liked:
The owner is an artist and several of his paintings are in the apartment. It creates a warm touch. I felt at home from the minute I walked in.
There are CD's with artists from Montartre and also one of the jazz band that the owner is in. I sat one night listening to Edith Piaf, sipping wine and looking at Sacre Coeur. Fantastique!
The apartment was very quiet. It had double paned windows and is on the top floor, so you don't hear street noise or footsteps from above.
Gail and her team provide great service. I arrived 1/2 hour early and phoned Joseph. He was at the apartment in less than 5 minutes.
Things I didn't like:
Nothing
Things to consider:
The bathroom is off the bedroom, so if someone is sleeping they're likely to be disturbed if someone wants to use the bathroom.
The closest Metro is Abbesses, which is one of the deepest stations. There's an elevator, but if for some reason it's not working there are A LOT of stairs to climb.
This was my 2nd time renting from Perfectly Paris. I think Gail provides great service and both apartments have been exactly as described. I would definitely rent from her again.
