Just received this great tip from my friend Isabelle in Paris, whom I met during my walk in the charming alley Cité Jandelle, where Isabelle has a small house. Jaques Offenbach's operetta [glow=pink,2,300]La Vie Parisienne[/glow] is running at Théatre Antoine14 Blvd de Strasbourg 75010 Paris Last day: 28 February 2010 (unless they prolong the period). It should be such great fun. According to Isabelle: >> Yesterday evening I went to see La Vie Parisienne by Offenbach, sung, danced and played by a troupe of 11 persons wiht highpitched voices Nothing but energy, laughs and smiles. It's typical Parisian, a bit stereotypical certainly, but after a day of work, what relaxation ! That gives you a blow of energy ! Here's an introductory video from the French television - Click here ! I will never forget how much I enjoyed "Cabaret" at Les Folies Bergères in 2007 (although that was a different type of show). Don't stay away just because a show is in French. Have fun !

Gitte, a super recommendation! We saw it at the Opéra Comique several years ago and thought it was great fun.

Well Gitte, you should just treat yourself to a few days in Paris in February to see the operetta.
Loved the thread of your meeting with Isabelle.
