We will be back in Paris seeking new places to go and things to do/see from 1-28 May and are already looking ahead with great anticipation. Please post information about anything out-of-the-ordinary you are aware of that might be of interest and is scheduled for that time. Many thanks!!

We'll be there at the end of your trip too-and I haven't started doing my research yet, but I did happen upon a Michael Bublé concert on the 18th out at Bercy. www.michaelbuble.com/tour/2010/05/18 Might not your cup of tea, but it's all I am aware of off the top of my head! I'll let you know if I find anything else during the next months. Have you checked www.whatsonwhen.com ?

I've been checking various sites for Oct events and exhibitions and haven't found anything further out than April yet!

My daughter had already informed me that we were missing Michel Buble by 1 day and Eric Clapton/Steve Winwood by 2 ~ the curse of such a short trip! (OTOH, she wouldn't be going at all if it wasn't for my breathtaking generosity! ) I saw that there is a ballet at Garnier during the time we are there (May 19-23) but I can't seem to get access to tickets on the Garnier site ~ probably either sold out or tickets not on sale yet. I will keep checking for fun stuff to do. Jo

La Bayadere is on at the Garnier, tickets go on sale on 8th March. That's the one I saw on the Garnier site! Nice to know it's not sold out. ;D Does anyone know this ballet? I'd love to bring my daughter to see a ballet at Garnier, would this be a good one for 2 people who don't really have a good appreciation or knowledge of ballet? Thanks, Jo

Too bad (for me) that "La Bayadere" isn't scheduled to start earlier in the month. I'd love to see it.

It is not one of my favorites ..but it is a nice ballet. Takes place in India...the Bayadere is a "temple dancer" in love with a warrior who is awarded the Raj's daughter in marriage after a victory in battle.
Much mayhem follows. Big Golden idol dance for a male dancer. Kingdom of the shades arabesque number for the corps.
I'd go for it if I were there..even though I've seen ABT's..parts of it staged by Natalia Makarova...many times!
