I just got back from Paris and simply because it took me forever to find an apartment, thought I'd share about the one I stayed in!
Size: For me, it was perfect. It's about 25 m². It has a separate entry way, bathroom, living area and kitchen as in they are separated by door frames (or in the case of the bathroom a door). It would be a tight squeeze for four, but 2 or 3 would be just fine.
Comfort: I thought the bed and pillows were really comfy and I'm usually very picky about that. The shower head was almost like a rainfall one, but had good water pressure. It was also detachable which was nice. The free wifi was easy to access and very fast!
Kitchen: Everything you would need (except ziplock bags...I made sure I brought my own). The previous tenants are encouraged to leave any extra food in the fridge for the next tenant so I was treated to free butter and tea!
Noise: There was some noise from the club across the street on the holiday weekend, but other than that, the windows did a good job of blocking out the traffic noise.
Location: Amazing!!!! Literally a 1-2 minute walk from the Republique Metro station, 30 seconds from a lovely bakery, 5 minutes from a Monoprix and 5 minutes from the Canal St. Martin. Republique is a great station to be near since it has connections to so many areas and makes it very easy to go just about anywhere. It was very comforting to know that wherever I ended up exploring, I was a direct shot or one Metro change from the apartment.
Safety: The building has two electronic codes to get in. Because the area was always busy, I never felt like I was isolated. As a single woman traveling alone, that was important to me. I never felt unsafe. Even though the 10th has a bit of a bad reputation, this apartment is literally on the border of the 3rd.
Price: At 50 euros a night, it was an amazing deal.
Agency: Had wonderful dealings with them. Knew I'd get the exact location and key retrieval details a week before so I didn't panic. Every email was answered within a few hours (I knew not to email on the weekend and I also live in the same time zone which helped). The shower head wasn't working perfectly and I emailed them more for information than anything and when I came back to the apartment 5 hours later, there was a brand new shower head with an apology email in my inbox!
I will definitely use Centreparis again and would recommend the agency for anyone looking for good, clean apartments without all the expensive frills, security deposits and hidden fees.
