My wife and I will be celebrating our 25th anniversary in Paris soon. We have our choice between the Paris Westin (great central location) and the Hilton Arc de Triomphe (not as convenient as the Westin, but perhaps a more peaceful setting, plus access to the spa). Do you have any experience with either or both properties regarding service and accommodations?

Have been inside the Westin once and it looks very beautiful. Just off Place Vendôme with the jewellery boutiques, so you can find your silver bride a little something. What do the guest reviews say on TripAdvisor ? Walked by the Hilton Arc de Triomphe last time I was here and it looked very boring - also the location is the absolute dullest. Depending on how much you are willing to spend, how about making it up into the really grand style and go for Le Meurice or Four Seasons George V ? I went with my little old ladies for breakfast at Le Meurice yesterday and it was over-the-top fabulous, so I figure the rooms and the hotel service are in the same flawless league. And George V has become the #1 hang-out of the forum ladies, because it's so cozy and cool there. Their flower arrangements are to die for and everyone is just so dear. Both places they take soooo good care of you, if you know what I mean.

Hi bjerde! Welcome to OPF! As for your question, location is extremely important to me, and of the 2 hotels you mentioned, I definitely prefer that of the Westin.

:)Hello bjerde, welcome to the forum.
If you ONLY have a choice between these two I also would go for the Westin. The location is much more central.
We went in the Westin last March with some friends who were staying there and everything was lovely. We were well looked after.
My freinds enjoyed thier stay at the Westin but commented they would like something less "traditional". But then their house is ultra contemporary. A boutique hotel would suit them better.
I have only walked past the Hilton Arche de Triomphe which as Gitte says is in rather a dull area.
I go with Gitte, if I had a choice and had to stay in a 4 star + hotel I would stay at George V. The service cannot be beaten IMO.

I will agree to the Westin too, much better location. I love Westins - I have stayed in a few of them ( back in the days when work was paying ) and I love them. They have THE BEST BEDS in the world.

The Westin location is far superior.
