 Gitte, That is the one I have been trying and get a blank page with a narrow line for what appears to be a title and when I put something in and hit send, it vanishes. I am using a MAC and maybe that is the problem but while I would love to have a live chat with you and Shoesy, the gates to the Chat room seem closed.

Holger, we keep seeing you appear, but then you disappear. When you log on to the chat, do you see the conversation already in progress? There should be a list of other users on the right side and a narrow line at the bottom where you enter your text.

Truffaut, when I log in I get a blank large box and then another narrow line for the text. I do type in a text and click send and then nothing. I do not see a conversation in progress nor a list of others on the right. I will try again but then must start to get ready for work.

Holger - In the beginning I had a hard time with my computer. The typing was getting stuck, and then sentences disappeared. Gitte told me to restart my computer, and then after I did that, everything worked out.

Holger, I hope you can eventually get in the chat room! It is great fun when there are others in it! I have only been in the "old" one or hmm..the one that has main page entry! I have not been brave enough to enter the other one..but yes, it would be nice to know ahead of time...who is there! Is anyone in it? I have gone in occasionally and there is no one there..but what fun when there are others!

I'm afraid I won't be able to chat - I ususally just visit when I'm at work (shhhh) and I can't download anything on my work computer...  |

Well, I don't think you have to download anything on the old chatroom (entry via main page)....but I don't know about the new one. Shoesy said she had to update/download java....(?) on the new one, so maybe it is somehow different that way? But no downloading. Only problem is that if you go into a chatroom and there is a lively discussion....it is hard to leave! So that might be the difficulty of visiting it at work...but then...if you are able...  !!! |

susanb - penguins are hard to stuff into a pie, they won't lie still when I put them in the oven..... they keep squeeking and scratching on the ovendoor from the inside. Terrible mess, takes forever to clean the darn oven afterwards.....  Raspberries at least have the courtesy of accepting their fate - which is: GOING DOWN INTO MY BIG ACIDFILLED BELLY ! ;D Just FYI: people in this forum are known to swallow LIVE oysters with not so much as one second of remorse.....  |

I can get into the new chat room..using the icon..and am not able to get into the old one so obviously I vote for the new one. No one was there though. |

That's what we're all wishing for, geordy. A way to know when people are in the chat room so we can go join the fray. I vote for a "DING" like the commercial for Southwest airline when they send you an email. Can't you see us all flying over the furniture to get to the computer in time...(too much tv...sorry)
