The Cent Quatre is an amazing new art venue in Paris, created in the immense building of the former municipal undertaking services (the surface of the building is as big as Place de la République). It opened in October 2008. At the moment, it is exposing a life sized replica of the Villa Arpel from the 1958 Jacques Tati movie " Mon Oncle" (which won a Oscar for best foreign film and the Jury prize at the Cannes film festival). Thanks for posting this. Your full report is really great. I love Mon Oncle! On my first solo trip to Europe years ago I bought the poster below and had it on my walls for several years before I even saw the movie.
