The Musée de la Marine has a new exhibition going on until July 26th, "Les marins font la Mode" ("Sailors chic in Paris"). It is shows ancient sailors uniforms, but it is more focused about how sailors fashion has influenced civilian fashion, from the 19th century little boys to Coco Chanel, Yves Saint-Laurent and of course Jean-Paul Gaultier, with quite a few haute couture clothes and accessories on display . www.musee-marine.fr/site/fr/expo-les-marins-font-la-modeMusée National de la Marine Palais de Chaillot Place du Trocadéro, 16th arr. Every day except Tuesdays, 10am till 6pm

All the nice girls love a sailor, All the nice girls love a tar; For there's something about a sailor -- Well, you know what sailors are!
Bright and breezy, free and easy, He's the ladies' pride and joy. Falls in love with Kate and Jane, Then he's off to sea again --
Ship Ahoy! Ship Ahoy!
