For any Calder fans, there is an Alexander Calder exhibit, specifically the Paris Years 1926-1933, at the Pompidou Center through July 20th.

I took my four year to see the show in New York and we both loved it. It was her first time seeing his Circus in person, along with his other toys, sculptures and figures and she was transfixed. She sketched and so loved watching Jean Painlevé's film of Calder performing his Circus, that we have taken to watching Carlos Vilardebó's 1961 version here: www.ubu.com/film/calder.htmlon an almost daily basis and she is furiously working with wire and pipe cleaners to make one of her own. Jean Painlevé's film will be available on DVD in France the end of April. I am curious if the Pompidou will have Calder activities in the children's exhibition space. I would be most grateful if anyone goes to let me know what projects they have the kids working on so we could do them at home. Oh, and while I too loved the Circus, it was very wonderful to see all four Josephine Baker sculptures together for the first time.
