 Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Rue de Rivoli opens an exhibition on 19 March (end 12 July) with about 300 of the finest pieces of jewellery from the 1920's and 1930's, worn by characters like Marlene Dietrich and Gloria Swanson. The above picture shows a clip-on earring ! I found this article in today's MadameFigaro. (No, you will have to fight your way through it yourselves. BTW, Madame Figaro is such a beautiful ladies' magazine: filled with the most amazing fashion photos and LOTS of the most upscale designer handbags, shoes and accessoires. Plus the latest makeup, skincare etc. No, I am perhaps not in the primary target group for these things, but I so love to look and dream. And of course you get all the "glam&gossip": e.g. the latest pics of Dita Von Teese, who somehow always manages to manoeuvre her gourmandise self into the highest circles ! - and of course La petite Madame Sarko promenading this season's ballerinas ! ;D AND it is ridiculously CHEAP !! You can have it sent to your door each week in 6 months for only 53 euros !! |

Truffy, your automatic photo resizing gizmo doesn't seem to be working ? And for everybody else's info: I HAVE actually resized these pics in photobucket, so I really can't explain why sometimes they appear so LARGE ? And the next time they seem OK ? hhhmmmm....... Yes, it's working. See? I told you you wouldn't even notice the difference if I hadn't mentioned it.....  |

Thank you, thank you. I had already planned to go to the exhibit and now will make it a top priority. Maybe they will have some reproductions in the museum shop.
