Paristay?

I know lots of us check out various rental places on the internet, and Paristay has been brought up a few times here...but has anyone actually USED this company? Are they decent to work with? Reliable? Have you had a good experience with them? Are they prompt in returning the deposit? I do wish their pricing system were more upfront, but I can do the math myself if I have to

I have not used them but I've looked at the website many times. I agree that the pricing system is a little weird. I just booked another apartment with VIP yesterday for the last week in March. I was really seriously consideing Parisbestlodge. He had some really nice looking places. I just was not crazy about the policy of paying in cash. We'd either have to bring the cash with us or try to get it once we arrived. I'm to lazy to deal with all that. So in the end I went with my comfort zone and rented from VIP.
I liked the apartments I saw from Centreparis but they never returned my e-mails and the picking up of the keys seemed to be a bit of a pain.

I suggest you take a really thorough search in the TA Paris forum - there are numerous threads there about the different agencies, also Paristay. I always liked the pictures of their apartments, but I HATE their stupid, not very customerfriendly search function. You can't type any detailed search criteria, so it takes forever to find an apartment that fulfills all your wishes. I never found their pricing principles hard to figure out, though.

Gitte--Thanks for the reminder that "over there" still exists! I checked those posts out and think I'll stay away from this agency. Sounds like lots of people haven't had problems with them (tho it's just my luck that we would), but no one was singing their praises, either.

Sorry, I've not used them either but just wanted to wholeheartedly agree with Gitte about the rubbishness of their search function!
