Denise posted a couple of photos where she may have been able to join two together to make a longer shot of an all inclusive scene. With her Canon I guess the software would give her something called *stitch assist" or "panorama maker", so when faced with a scene too wide for ones camera to put on one shot, two or more shots can be joined together. And the join can be virtually invisible! It is necessary to stand in the same spot, keep the camera level and swivel round so that pic No. 2 covers about one third of No.1. It is possible to join several pics but of course the resultant joined up version is long and thin, so three is a practical maximum and two is better. The real pros like RSS use a tripod and spirit level. See this site where a real panoramic camera is used metrorama.free.fr/#Les_stations_par_ordre_alphabetiqueFascinating

My Canon actually displays a strip from the edge of the previous picture, so that you can align the prior picture with what you see in the viewfinder. It works very well, although I don't use it very often.

I saw a commercial for windows live and it stiches pictures together to make panoramic ones. You can download it for free here... windowslive.com/Home I haven't used it yet, but from what I've read, they turn out nice.
