Since I don't want to spend forever waiting in line but the Museum Pass is not a good value for the time we are going, I was wondering if there is a way to buy advance tickets for certain places.
One being the Musee Orsay. From what I recall there was a kiosk that sold advance tickets. Is this correct?
Two being the Picasso exhibit at the Grand Palais. Where can I get tickets for this in advance. Is there a similar kiosk for advance tickets?

I was looking at the Picasso exhibit tickets and all the times listed were unavailable from today to the end of the exhibit. This was through FNAC. I am not sure why this is.

That is because it is a very popular exhibit and already sold-out.

Does it mean it is completely sold out, or just that online tickets are sold out? Will it still be possible to somehow see the exhibit (even if it means waiting in line)?

Luc is right, I checked on Digitick and Ticketnet which also sell advanced tickets and they are both sold out too . One can see on Ticketnet that every half hour schedule for every day until the end of the exhibition in February is booked up, it is amazing . I guess that it is still possible to see the exhibition by waiting in line, but the waiting should be very very long .

We bought advance tickets from the booth inside the main entrance to The Grand Palais a week in advance. The entrance to the Picasso exhibit is around the corner from that. There was a line for unticketed visitore. But it was long, there was even a long line for the advance ticket holders. If you want to see the Van Dyck exhibit at the Jacquemart-Andre, I'd aadvise getting those at FNAC. We waited over an hour to get in first thing in the AM

Silly Lucky doesn't remember that when we were there three weeks ago, tickets to the Picasso were already sold out nearly through Christmas time!

Wow, that is a heck of a line. It's a shame as I was interested in this exhibit and it was a compromise between my travel buddy and I. Perhaps if the line is not horrific in the morning we will try to get in, but otherwise we will just head on over to the little Picasso Museum.

Oh boy....that line looks familiar...been in a similar one there a few times! Always seems to be less cold and move faster than the one on the other side of the building!
