No Roniece, you're not jealous of this woman : her face and hair are just appalling .

Anne, from seeing Dolly Parton on various talk shows through the years, I seem to remember that she said she wears wigs most of the time. And she grew up in abject poverty, and couldn't afford "nice" things. Hence all the makeup. (This is what she said, not my opinion) But I agree, she looks...um...overly turned out?

Happy, I don't know what she did look like several years ago, but I feel that there is much more than make-up here ... Something about her lips, and a face-lift too ? (OMG, we are into tabloids-style discussions now )

Anne, sadly it would seem so. (Not to mention how we digressed from the original point)
I agree that it looks as though Dolly may have had some "work" done. She's got that Joan Rivers thing going on.
Oh, and btw, we can easily blame Shoesy for this ridiculous detour we seem to have taken. SHE posted the picture of Dolly.

Hey.......don't blame ME, Happy. All I did was post the link in order to show a top-heavy person wearing tight pants and high boots. I never intended for anyone to discuss Dolly's numerous tucks and nips, which, btw, she has been very candid about.

Alright, FINE, Shoesy...so Anne and I ran away with the topic. (I liked it better when it was your fault tho). As for you Mossie...if us girls can't be bitchy about Dolly Parton, who looks absolutely fabulous for her age by the way, then who CAN we be bitchy about???

Well, getting back to the original conversation, I think that from the waist down Dolly looks pretty fabulously awesome in her skinny jeans and boots...her waist must be a negative 4!! ;D

She may have a tiny waist, but I'll bet it looks a lot tinier than it really is...she's all out of proportion ( sorry...bitchy again)

But no matter how fabulous you LOOK, it all boils down to how you FEEL.
She's a tiny little thing, and revels in looking over-the-top -- I, however, prefer a somewhat more subtle presentation...and I jst don't feel like I'm presenting myself well if I'm teetering on tall boots with skinny jeans...I am uncomfortable, therefore it ain't gonna happen...! (God it's nice to have gotten old enough to say that, too!)

I know what you mean, cigalechanta, she does look a bit like a cartoon. Sunshine, I think we should wear whatever the heck we want to. It's one of the reasons I think Dolly Parton is such a cool old dame. I may think she looks a little over-the-top, but I'll defend to the death her right to look that way.

I should be posting an ongoing trip report but have been busy busy busy. I couldn't pass this one up though! Skinny skinny jeans or leggings , high boots and bum warmer skirts or sweaters. BUT PLEASE Do NOT Attemp this unless you have long legs and a really firm rounded butt!! That leaves me out of fashion!!
