Hey everyone, well, I think the end of my quest is finally in sight. I am now very taken with this one www.paris-apartment-rent.com/gem.htmland wondered, before I go ahead and commit myself, whether anyone has used this agency in the past, or indeed stayed in this very studio? www.paris-apartment-rent.com/The lady seems very nice and has kindly offered to look after our bags during the last day for no charge before we board our sleeper for Venice, which is a big plus, so I'm sure I should just go for it, but I've been searching for so long I'm getting cold feet for no good reason! Maybe part of me enjoys the quest too much to let go of it now! Anyway, appreciate any views/previous experiences. Thanks Jools

I don't have any experience with them, but I love the bathtub in the living room of this apartment.

It should be okay, as long as you realize it's in one of the most heavily-touristy parts of Montmartre. If that doesn't bother you, then it should be fine.

To each his or her own. I would be afraid to use the shower in that set up for fear I would flood the room. I also don't like the sink arrangement as if there are two people and one was sleeping, the sound of the water could be disturbing. and there does not seem to be places to put soaps or toothpaste, etc.
But I am an old lady so the uniqueness of the apartment might well appeal to those younger.
But the price seems reasonable

I guess I'm an old lady too, Holger. The idea of showering in the living room doesn't appeal to me, even when I'm on vacation.

I seem to miss any mention of what floor it is on and if there is an elevator. You are probably young and in good shape but many buildings in this area don't have elevators and if you read the Montmartre thread by me and others, especially Gitte, you will know that this particular neighborhood has the steepest hills of about any in Paris and will be swarming with tourists, especially on weekends, but you can learn to dodge them to a large extent.
With these provisos (along with the wooden floors destined to get wet from lack of shower enclosure) I think it is a bargain for such a modern design.

Thanks everyone.
I know what you mean about the shower, but I figure nowhere's perfect and we can be careful with it, small price to pay for a jacuzzi in such a cosy and stylish place.
It's ground floor, with access to an internal courtyward which, as a smoker who currently lives on the 3rd floor with no lift, will make a nice change!
Unless I stumble across any stupidly good hotel deals in the next few days, i think I'm going to go for it. I do love Montmartre, and as for the toruists, well, if we can't beat them, I guess we'll end up joining them!
I'll post a review when I get back. Next port of call is to explore the restaurants thread. Oh and does anyone know what the buses near there are like, guess there must be a few that will go closer in to the centre from there?
