Hi all,
This may have been answered somewhere before so forgive me, but could someone give me the scoop on what you can pack in a carry-on for a flight within France? We're flying from Paris to Toulouse, and I'm flying from Toulouse back to Paris. Will I have to put all of my liquids in the 3 oz containers and use those small plastic baggies?
And now that I'm thinking of it, what's the best way to get from Orly to the Marais? There's the OrlyVal and the Orly bus, and of course a taxi...but the Orly web site says that taxi's take forever... Thanks!!!!

Thanks Anne. I can always check my bag...I hate to hassle with those plastic baggies. The plan is to take my regular sized suitcase and a carry-on sized. Then I can send my husband home with the bigger suitacase (hopefully full of Paris goodies), and then I'll have the carry-on to use on my return trip...hopefully there will be some room for additional purchases as well ;D
I was thinking of the OrlyBus...that seems pretty easy. Thanks again (2 more weeks until my trip - yipeee!)

Sis, another thing to keep in mind is that the weight limit of carry on's for intra-Europe flights is different than what we get for international flights (about 1/2 as much on a lot of airlines). We took RER B to Orly Sud when we flew down to Barcelona, and it didn't take long. I think we transferred to the Orly-Val at Anthony? It was easy--not a big ordeal.

The size of carry on luggage is very restricted on domestic flights. The commonly found 20" - 22" roll on suitcases which qualify as carry on in the US are not so classified on French domestic flights.
Many aircraft have the old rack type overhead compartments (which are not really compartments at all). It has been my experience that anything larger than a hand bag or computer bag must be checked.

Thanks for the luggage info Annette and Sarastro. I'm just going to check my bag for sure .
I think we'll probably take a taxi TO Orly...it's the start of the part of our trip that's being partially subsidized by my husband's job ;D. Of course, not that it's all luxury by any means...the government per diem isn't all that great these days!

A subsidy is better than no subsidy at all!
