A friend showed me the coolest new thing today. Go to Google, click on Maps. Type in "75, avenue des Champs Elysées - 75008 Paris" (for example). When it comes up, click "Street View." You can use your mouse to go 360 degrees around, or click the arrow to stroll down the Champs Elysées. Any yellow street lined in blue will work with this feature - anywhere on earth! I was even able to see my little house, on my dinky little sidestreet, in our podunk little town in Florida. It's weird that they'd have that, but surprisingly don't have that many streets in Paris - yet. This technology is still amazing! And kinda creepy. How do they do that? Ya'll are gonna love this. Exalt away! ;D

;D Hey.......That really IS cool, and I've exalted you, even though I wasn't able to see my house.....only a different one on a nearby street.

Our son (a photojournalist) spotted a car driving around the streets of Toronto taking pictures for Google street view.

Hi Judy,
Thanks for posting this pic - I use "street view" a LOT on Google maps - don't know what I'd do without it now. Interesting to see how they actually get the photos.

Google Maps can pinpoint a large majority of Rural and Urban addresses in the United States and around the world. There are 3 views featured on each search. The satellite view is becoming a popular way to advertise a business location. Online websites can also take advantage of this program to increase worldwide internet visibility.
