There was a potentially useful article in the Sunday edition of the San Francisco Chronicle on places to stay in London for 100 pounds or less: www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/09/05/TR0011FU62.DTL&type=travelI'm going to save this one for the next trip, as several sounded worth keeping in mind, and thought others might be interested as London often is paired with Paris on a trip.

Becky -
Thanks for the link - have saved it too. We keep thinking that one of these days we may take the Chunnel to London from Paris for a weekend.

I thought this might be the same article I posted on another site but it is different. Here's a link to several more 100 GBP of less hotels and B7B's The only one I've stayed in on the list is Jury's Inn Chelsea. It is a bit far from the center of things but has excellent transportation options. A bus right in Front that takes you to either Earl's Court or to Fulham Broadway. We take the bus to King's Rd and then change to the 11 or 22 which pass by all the touristy places. In 5 minutes from the hotel we can be at our long time favorite restaurant , from the 1st bus stop/ www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/travel/where_to_stay/article4676526.ece
