In my not enough coffee stupor this morning I managed to knock my cup of coffee against the monitor which proceeded to dump it over the keyboard.
While turning keyboard over, tapping against desktop, trying to wipe carefully somehow my screen is upside down.
hmmm you're wondering how is she typing? Standing on her head.
Luckily I have a flat screen monitor so I could turn it over but I'm typing standing.
So if anyone has any suggestions how do return it to normal view please Help!!
I am turning off and rebooting. If that works I'll post.
Hopefully this keyboard will dry out with no problem as I do love this one. Which is a replacement for the last one I fried the same way. Guess I'm going to have to drink my coffee with a long straw from now on.
and #$# it was a cup of French roast!

I don't know if this will help. My sister dropped her cell-phone into the jacuzzi. It would not work at all. We ended up using the hairdryer on it and got it to work again.

Poor Penny ! I hope things work out. Please don't feel bad about being a klutz because we all have our klutzy moments from time to time. As for morning coffee, without it I'd be totally lost.

Don't know about keyboards, but here's a cell phone tip. I dropped mine in a fountain in Provence, and went directly across the street to a cell phone store. It was fried and dead, bien sur, but the guy gave me a tip. He said everyone's instinct, when they get their phone wet, is to immediately try to turn it on to see if it still works (exactly what I had done ). What you SHOULD do, according to cell-phone-store-guy, is leave it alone, take the battery and SIM card out of the back, and leave it somewhere warm and dry for at least 2 - 3 days. THEN try to turn it back on. Next time I'll know! Penny, I don't mean to laugh at your pain, but your post had me chuckling aloud. ;D

Glad you are seeing the world right side up now!
Good idea to keep the solution in mind as I'm always eating and drinking around the keyboard

I guess if you hold down Control Alt and the down key it will do what you inadvertently did. Suppose that is meant so that our Australian friends can see the right way up.

Mossie - I'm probably still a six-year-old at heart because I immediately thought of that, and tried it. Sorry to say, nothing happened except that the page scrolled down a bit . . . .

Keylime jet, that is a great tip about the cell phones, my teenager has lost a phone to water ( hot tub at a party, I do not want to know!!)It's too late for his, but I am sure this tip will come in handy again. Even though its not a Paris tip I exalted you for such a good tip.

You know, Joan, it's actually a GOOD thing...if his phone went into the hot tub, it's probably safe to assume that this means that he was CLOTHED, as the phone was likely in a pocket, where it was forgotten.
Had the party been truly wild, I PROMISE that he would not have forgotten about the phone, because he'd have had no place to put it!
LOLOLOL

Oh yes ,, he was fully clothed,, but as to being fully sober that is the point,, he " fell in" ,, but somehow I manage to walk by hot tubs all the time and not " fall in" ... LOL
It was his loss though, he don't supply toys like that to our kids, it was his own,, I wonder if now he is more " careful" when at parties,, ??
