I don't know if this qualifies as a "common" visitor question, but can anyone recommend a place to get your nails (and toes) done?

Does anyone know if Galeries Lafayette still has a nail salon (or a salon where they do nails)? I've not been able to tell from their website. Paris is our last stop and I'm thinking that my pedicure will need a touch-up by then.

Oui, nail shops were mentioned somewhere on the forum a long time ago, and I can't remember specifics, but I believe it was Anne who said they are all over Paris. I've never noticed them tho, so I guess you have to be looking or know what you're looking for!

Nails salons have spreaded out these past years, same time as the French manucure and false nails did, but what you will find the most easily in Paris are the traditional "instituts de beauté" (beauty salons) . They all do hand nails (manucure) and feet nails .

Oui, I have read someplace (can't remember where and when) that the Paris Hilton on rue de Suffren in the 15th near the ET (I think Annette and her husband stayed there last year) offers a pedicure medicale that really does wonders for one's feet. I an even contemplating having mine done if time permits.

We've stayed there twice and I never knew they offered any spa services I would have loved to have my sore footsies rubbed!

Annette, I will confirm it if I get the chance to have mine done. I really read it some place but for the life of me can't remember where. I will at least call them up and so we can have a real place to go to for such service - the phrase that sticks to mind is to ask for "pedicure medicale" at the Hilton Salon on avenue de Suffren (not rue). Annette, it is, I think, the faulty mind of an aging person as we over 60s are referred to by our dear friend (LOL). framboise

Girls............when referring to the hotel, isn't it called the "Hilton Paris", not the other way around? When I hear "Paris Hilton", all I can think of is you-know-who.

Shoesy, t'a raison......... But Paris Hilton is an heiress of the hotels with the same name so I don't really think of her so it does not matter what I call it (LOL). But I'll be careful next time, je suis desole.

Merci, framboiseetrose! The pedicure medicale sounds great based on what I've read.
