Not sure if this topic is appropriate here but............ After my 4 days in Paris I'm going to London to get on a cruise. The first stop is Le Havre. Does anyone have any hints or ideas for a day in or around this port?

LB, Honfleur looks charming! Thanks for posting the pics. I've had several folks report to me that it's been one of their favorite ports on a Seine River cruise.

Jim, did you notice that the wooden steeple for the church was built away from the church instead of on the top? They were a magnet for lighting strikes, and building the steeple in the middle of the square was a fire prevention strategy. I believe that one in Honfleur is one of the last (if not the last) remaining original Medieval wooden towers in France.

There's also the Musée Eugène Boudin in Honfleur. It has a small, but interesting collection of paintings by the artist who influenced Monet's early work.

Great pictures! I knew I could count on the members of this forum to guide us in the right direction. Thanks. It looks like the "picture perfect" little spot. Can we walk over to Honfleur, take a bus or cab? What is the distance?
