Is it difficult to find Lactose intolerance tablets in Paris,, I assume not if one went to a drugstore or health food type store? Is this correct.. I have chatted to someone who said she thought they were difficult to obtain in Paris, I was surprised as I assume there are in fact people in Paris that are Lactose intolerant, just as there is at home, people are people after all, but of course I did concede that one would likely not be able to just walk into a corner store and find the pill, not that you could do that here where I live either though.
Anyone here have any experience with this?

What do they do?
I must admit I've never heard of them before...I assumed if you are intolerant you try and avoid those food items.

Joan, do you mean like Lact-Aid? I would think that, or something comparable, would be available. (Think about trying to pantomime what you want to the druggist though, if your French wasn't adequate - I know, I've been reading too much David Sedaris )

Not forgetting that a lot of French medicine is delivered via a suppository) Sorry to sufferers.

Tsss Mossie, that's yet another cliché about the French ;D ... Joan, I can inquire about these tablets, only I have no idea what this is about : something to prevent you from getting sick if you happen to eat some lactose ??
