Free classical concerts "in the green"

Thanks to MaisonMetz and her reference to the website PARIS UPDATE, I found this link:

All through August and September, on Saturdays and Sundays at 16:00, there are free classical music concerts go to in Parc Floral in Bois de Vincennes (5 € for entrance to the park, though).

Idea for a Vélib ride ?!

I stumbled across one of those concerts last year in the Bois de Vincennes - a bit earlier in the summer.

It was a really pleasant afternoon - and hardly crowded because there's so much space - although I didn't try to sit up close to the stage - it wasn't necessary to enjoy it.

The concerts of some sorts seem to be on every weekend at the Parc Floral, and there are events during the week also we were told..
We went to a FANTASTIC jazz concert on the last Sunday before we came home, I will post photos on our trip report when I have downloaded them.
The end of metro line 1, direction Chateaux de Vincennes. Follow the crowd.
BTW, the velibs were all out, so get there early if you want to hire one!
