Have just been through all six pages and thoroughly enjoyed it. You are the very determined traveller. You confess to writing a novel, cannot wait.

CC - Will you let us know which gite you secure? I would like to do the same, but for the following year. Thanks!

Thanks, it brought back so many memories. One trip I did alone, I took the train to Isle sur la Sorge.(I don't drive, other times it was with my husband by car. Our favorite restauant there is Jardin de la Quai. Our last trip we stayed in Maussane, one of our favorite places in that area. You can see a photo of th Cafe de la Fontaine in YO-YO KIDNAPPED IN PROVENCE by Davis Douglas Duncan. I gave a copy to the cafe. That shop in St remy where to buy newspapers and books is called L'Express. They have wonderful calendars and a huge selection of books on Provence. On the same stree is a Bensimon shop that sells various style canvas shoes. They are so comfortable and hard to find in the Stats. Their version of the sneaker in many colos are so light weight and thin, it makes my big feet look small. My favorite shop in Lourmarin is Coté Bastide.I miss Provence very much but without a car it's impossible to get to some villages. Last week one of my best friends in Provence died
