:)We stayed here for eight nights in July 2008. This is a budget, no frills studio which was very good value for money and perfectly suited our needs. The cost was 60 euros per night.

The studio has been renovated since the pictures on the website and now has trendy grey walls, an easy clean grey tiled floor and new furniture.
The metal gate to the street accessed by digicode is uninpsiring, but it is open during the day as there is a swimwear shop to the right of the passage leading to the studios.
Two easy flights of stairs lead to the first floor where there are four similar centreparis studios. This would be ideal for parents and older children or several couples.
SITUATION.
1st french floor.
Two easy flights of stairs.
Facing courtyard. Double glazing when closed shuts out any noise. When open the usual city sounds of distant traffic, conversations etc.
We were overlooked by apartments opposite. Voile curtains maintaned privacy.
2nd Arrondisement. very central.
Quiet and safe. garment district.
A full description of the area with pictures can be found in the posts "postcards from paris, our area"

Two market streets, Rue Montorguiel and rue du Fauberge St Dennis are 4 minutes walk in opposite directions.
Therefore there is a wealth of shops cafes and restaurants in the area.
It is off the tourist trail so the prices are more reasonable.
Very good transport links, two metro stations and bus routes 4 minutes walk away. Direct line to Opera, Eiffel tower, d'Orsay,Invallides, Bastille. All sights accessable within 10 to 20 minutes.
10 minutes walk to Louvre, Palais royal, Tuilleries.
The red light district is in rue St Dennis which runs parrellel with rue d'Aboukir. I would not have known it was there unless I had been told. We walked down one night for curiosity. We found it safe and not intimidating. The Working girls were happy healthy and discreet and seemed not to approach clients but wait to be approached.
THE STUDIO
Aprox 30 feet by 11 feet. High ceilings made it feel spacious. Plenty of room for two of us. All in one room.
Heater under the window.
There was a very clever coffee table that opened into a dining table that would seat six. We left it open most of the time.
Four folding chairs.
Second coffee table.
Large sofabed, (kingsize) very comfortable to sit and sleep on.
When the sofabed was pulled out into a bed the person in the main bed had to climb over it to get to the other side of the room.
King size bed, also comfy.
Bed linen provided. Modified April 2009. Centreparis now uses hotel quality towels and sheets. Plenty of clean bedding in the laundry room which we were told to help ourselves to.
Another smaller mattress was also provided but I personally think the studio would be crowded with more than two or three people.
Wardrobe held our clothes ( two [people) for a week, shelving above for smaller items.
TV on stand.
Phone.
Iron, ironong board.
Clock,
Cassette/radio.
Universal phone charger.
WI-FI. (NOT computer)
KITCHEN.
Newly tiled and new worktops in grey.
Ran the length of the studio at one end.
Two ring hob.
Tabletop oven/grill. No grillpan or tray. I have emailed the owner so hopefully this will be rectified.
Plenty pots and pans. Bottle opener, can opener etc.
Full size, very efficient, dishwasher.
Good size sink.
Full size fridge.
Coffee maker
Kettle.
Toaster.
SHOWER ROOM.
Compact but large enough for my husband!
Spacious shower, good water pressure.
plenty of hot water.
Heated towel rail. Very useful for washing smalls.
Hairdryer provided.
The original towels provided were a bit grey. but the second day we discoverd that there were better towels in the laundry/storage room and we had been insructed to help ourselves.
Luggage can also be stored in the laundry/ storage room
They say you can use the washer dryier for 10 euros. launderette nearbye.
