Arrived at my daughter's house last night at about 8:00. My flight was uneventful, but since I hate flying for over 11 hours, I was thrilled to finally land. BTW, thanks to recommendations of quite a few of you on the forum, I decided that my one duty-free purchase would be YSL Touche Eclat. I decided that I owed it to the dark circles under my eyes to give it a try. Meanwhile, I'm totally jet-lagged, and I've been up since 1:00 a.m. Right now I'm trying to adjust to my daughter's laptop, which is quite a challenge for me. After getting settled in last night, my daughter played the tape of Truffy's appearance on the Ace of Cakes, so I finally got to hear the voice of our revered master, who looked extremely debonair and quite relaxed on the show. Bravo, Truffy !!!

Shoesy, welcome to the States! I do hope you have a lovely visit with your family. How do you like your daughter's house?? Make sure to tell us girls how the YSL Touche Eclat works...if it does. It's very sad to report that I could use some these days

Hopefully you don't need as much "help" as I do - I've tried that product and couldn't see much difference for me (but I think I'm just a "hard case" lol! : The YSL product I've been buying religiously for years, although I don't know if it's available in duty-free shops, is "faut effet" mascara, usually in No. 5, the burgundy color (it "looks black" but is less harsh against a less-youthful-than-before skin tone etc.)

Becky - I didn't mind trying out a new product, especially since a number of forum friends like it so much. I like to think of it as a forum recommendation.........like macaroons. ;D
Sis - Tell your daughter that I'm planning to go to Manhattan on Wednesday in order to see a matinee, and guess which show I hope to see for the 3rd time. ;D

Sis - I wouldn't mind adopting your darling daughter, as long as I don't have to pay for another wedding in the future. ;D

OK, deal. You will have to take her to Paris for her graduation though...she wants to take a tour of the Opera Garnier
