There was a short blurb in the Boston Globe travel section yesterday that went like this:
A recent Pew Global Attitudes survey asked where Americans are most likely to be welcomed. It turns out that the countries we most like to visit like Americans. Here are the results:
Among Americans top 10 travel destinations the nation in which they are most liked is Britain (70% liked us).
Opinions of Americans are also high in France (64%), Germany (55%) and Japan (65%).
Surprisingly, the least favorable rating came from Turkey (13%). Argentina wasn't too favorable either (24%)

I realize we have forum members from all over the world, so this is probably only interesting to Americans on the forum. But still, I thought it was nice to see "proof" (for any first-time visitors to Paris) that those silly stories of how the French hate Americans is false.

I think the rest of the world is very good at realizing that just because we are American, does not mean that we agree lockstep with the actions of the administration, and are much more likely to give us the benefit of the doubt than if the situation were reversed.
