carlabruni.com/By going to the above web site and registering for the vip section you can listen to Carla's new CD for free. I saw that one London music critic proclaimed it " The best CD ever recorded by the Wife of a sitting head of state." I actually liked it.

I saw that one London music critic proclaimed it " The best CD ever recorded by the Wife of a sitting head of state.". Haha - that's quite witty.

Carla Bruni's new album has offended the Colombian Foreign Minister who took offence at one of the songs, Ma Came (my drug) "You are my drug/more deadly than Afghan heroin/More dangerous than White Colombian." I think he should clean up his country's drug business. They produce 80% of the world's cocaine

I found it. Amazon will let you pre-order it. I also ordered Cara Blck's new book while I was there. Murder in the Latin Quarter. Now that should be a fun one.

Mimi, I read about the offensive lyrics. Like you, I think the Columbian official ought to take a look around him and clean up his own back yard. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!

Did anyone else see Carla's 20/20 interview with Barbara Walters on Friday night? Supposedly this was her first American interview. I thought she was quite charming and friendly--showed up without makeup, and played her guitar and sang a few songs.

Yes, I did see that, and she didn't shy away from her affairs. Sarkosy really likes women with a past. He married his last wife to another man and she dumped the husband for Sarkosy before he divorced his second wife.

I saw the interview and also think that she is quite charming. She presents herself very well and handled the personal questions from Barbara with style and grace.

On our main breakfast show this morning they had a review of the Carla Brunei CD and the music reporter gave it a 3 out of 5. She said it was the CD that you would put on at the end of a dinner party to calm everyone down and get them mellowed out - and ready to leave. I think that may have been a backhanded compliment , they aslo reviewd Vanessa Paradis cd - she got a 4 out of 5. Everything sounds better in French was also the message for both of them !

I have her first CD and I do really enjoy listening to it even though I have no clue as to what she is saying. It is sorta folksy mellow music.
