I must assume that members have been PMing the administrators regarding PM on Birthday Wishes. I only find two posts in the last week that even suggest that.
If anything I think a poll should have been taken for other members vote on this.
I thought one of the primary purposes of starting this forum was so we would not be censored or our posts/replies deleted if we went off-topic.
I come here for my daily Paris fix but I also get a peek at others lives, with ups and downs included. These threads/replies give us an opportunity for good wishes, encouragement , to provide help and give sympathy to those in time of lose.
So if others feel this strongly about Birthday Wishes why don't we just delete the Today's Birthday from the first page?
I also posted in Technical ways to avoid Off-topics posts.
Now this is all my personal opinion, so delete if you want.
But simply from me no more Birthday Greetings Post or PM
or to quote Scrooge-bah humbug!

I don't want my birthday noticed but-only because if no one knows you in person, they have a pre-conceived opinion of you based on your age.

Here's my 2 cents--it really isn't a big deal, so let's not make it one! The administrators of this wonderful forum can run it however they see fit

Annette is right it's no big deal and those who acknowledge each other's birthday is fine. NOONE feels strongly against it or off topics, IMHO.
