In Nov I want to go to the top of either the Arc de Triomphe or the Pantheon. Which would be easier for these out of shape legs?
I've been to the Pantheon before and really like it and have seen the Arc only from the street, not up close and personal.

I went to the top of the Arc last year and it was very easy to get a ticket for the elevator - I just asked when I bought my ticket if I could take the elevator and I paid an extra amount -sorry, I don't remember how much but minimal - and that's all there was to it. It was very quiet that day and not too many people around so maybe that's why it was so easy.

Thanks! I was sure I had read that there was an elevator at the Arc but couldn't seem to confirm it anywhere, so was wondering if I had imagined it. OK, the Arc it will be.

:)As Michaels ONE contribution to our plans is a request to go to the top of the Arc de Triomphe this is very timely. Thanks. He is overweight and 68 years old, so it will not be difficult to swing the lead. I on the other hand am so fit and young looking that nobody would believe I was disabled or ill.!!! ;D Denise love from England

My one suggestion Go at sunset! (extends the hours of your museum if you buy one)
I did use the elevator because I could never have done the stairs. The only time I used my cane in Paris.
At ticket window I held up my pass and cane I was told where elevator was.
However if you a disabled and use the elevator there are still a few steps onto the roof so watch your step.

Denise and darcy, please also report on the newly-renovated "attic" at the Arc. It's supposed to have a multimedia exhibition.
