Joan, I couldn't find anything on Google about such an extension . I wouldn't be surprised that the museum website hasn't been updated, but I guess that there should be at least a few newspapers updates about this ...

Maybe you saw my question asking if it was being extended. I was really hoping it would be, but it doesn't look that way. I'm very disappointed too, it seems to have been really good.

Don't despair afds, most of the items at the exhibit were on loan from The Wallace Collection in London so you can plan a trip there sometime. It won't be the same but at least you'll see them.

Really? I LOVE the Wallace Collection! I only discovered it on my last trip and visited twice! I will be back again this year.

I'm resurrecting this thread because I may finally get to see the Wallace Collection this year. Demarais, what sort of stuff was lent for the Marie Antoinette exhibition? I did a search on the website but nothing specifically MA-related came up. Merci!

There was furniture, jewelry, various letters and some clothing as I recall. I'm glad you mentioned the Wallace Collection. I'm doing my London List and hadn't checked their site for curent exhibits. I think my list is over-loaded already so might as well add a few more things!!

I'm doing my London list too! Fun, isn't it? Everything depends on the ROH though, can't even book flights till I'm sure we have the ballet tickets. Just one more week and ticket sales open. Are you Afternoon Teaing somewhere? And should I shift this to OT posts?

No, Thank You for bumping this up. I had been racking my brain for a week trying to remember the name of the museum. all I could think of was Courtauld. the next step was going through all of my London research,if the brain cells didn't kick in soon. I wanted to suggest the Wallace to my nephew. He, his wife, son (age 14) and mother-in-law are going to Britain and France for an entire month. I wanted to suggest the Wallace because of the amour collection for my grand-nephew to see. His mother-in-law actually lives in France (now they tell me).
